GSM based Access Control System with no call costs to the users free RSS feed from Security Park

Control FreQ are importing a brand new GSM based access control system called M-PRES (Mobile Phone Remote Entry System).

Operating on quad band GSM technology, the device offers high security access control using Caller ID as the method of user identification. There are no call costs to the users as the unit never actually answers the call and access can be via mobile or landline phone.

M-PRES is a tiny self contained unit with an onboard user database ready to go which offers plug and play installation and easy user management. The unit is stand alone and can be integrated with any new or existing system. M-PRES is available in 4 different versions from a 15 user up to 2000 user and custom versions of up to 4000 users.

Users can be added, deleted and edited easily using the software interface. Access rights and users details are updated in an instant without the need of issuing cards, tags or any other physical device makes the system a viable solution for many access control applications.

Users can be divided up in 16 different user groups each with a unique set of security level and time zone access rights. The unit maintains a log file of up to 1900 events in its onboard database and logs user name, phone number, time and date.

The software comes with a unique licence key to allow the installer to hold the future remote programming rights. Programming can be done in 3 ways. By local RS232 connection, SMS or remote PC connection if the M-PRES GSM modem option is also installed.

Main features:
• Users can remotely activate any secure entrance by pre-authorised mobile or land-line.
• No call costs to the users.
• 2000+ different users all individually identifiable by their phone number.
• Standard version supports 1000 users. Other versions support up to 4000 users.
• 16 different user groups to enable specific security access levels for different user groups.
• 5 different programmable time zones for each user group.
• Real time clock operation to program in hold open times if required.
• Add or delete users instantly by SMS.
• The system can be administered by local or remote PC via a permanent internet connection.
• Activate 1 (standard) or 2 different entrances.
• Sends SMS alert in the case of a fault condition.
• M-PRES logs up to 1900 past movements for security purposes. Failed attempts also logged.
• Quad band GSM technology.

M-PRES is currently available for sample testing from Control FreQ and nationwide distributors are required.
