S-5 Satellite protects valuables in your car
(25/06/2007)
Most thefts from cars occur when valuables are left in full view of the thief. However, the opportunistic thief has become more sophisticated in their attack and will now break into a vehicle with only the smallest sign of valuables within, for example a satellite navigation holding station or PDA cradle.
With a theft from a vehicle occurring every 22 seconds, the S-5 Satellite from Autosafe International, now available from Hypertec, offers a secure and convenient place within your car to store valuable personal belongings.
The S-5 Satellite needs to be positioned near to a secure fixing in a car, such as under the passenger seat, so the security cable can be looped around the seat mechanism and then feed back into the satellite and the cable lock.

Lianne Denness, managing director of Hypertec, commented: "The average Briton now walks around with £850 worth of gadgets and gizmos on them, according a recent survey conducted for Zurich Insurance. The S-5 Satellite provides enough space to store away all the market-leading satellite navigation units as well as your wallet, purse, PDA, mobile phone, iPOD, sunglasses or digital camera."
Denness continued: "It’s not always convenient to find a suitable place to store your valuables when on the move; one option is to leave them locked in the car but you’re running a very high risk of loosing them in a random attack on your vehicle."
