Acam Technology renews its Digital CCTV distribution agreement with Cathexis Technologies

Acam Technology Ltd has renewed its distribution agreement with South African company Cathexis Technologies, following a first year of distribution in the UK. Part of the Rembrandt Group, Cathexis is the design, development and distribution arm for the organisation's intelligent digital video software. The agreement with Acam covers the company’s commercial digital surveillance systems. Acam supplies systems to security installers and electricians from its base in Derby and with its customers to develop tailormade CCTV solutions using high specification products.
“Our relationship with Acam has developed quickly into a very substantial and rewarding partnership,” says Cathexis international sales and support manager, Mark Ross. “We have seen sales across a wide range of sectors including health, education, retail, housing and logistics. Combining our product range with Acam’s high quality technical support and after sales service has created a great package, for installers and end users alike.”
“The Cathexis range gives our customers a reliable, stable and flexible DVR platform with many built-in features that would be expensive additions on other systems,” says Acam managing director, Chris West. “Built-in people counting, multiple zone motion detection with vector tracking and IP/analogue camera integration have created a lot of interest in, and demand for, the system. We’ve been delighted with the product and look forward to further developing our relationship with Cathexis over the coming years.”
