CY4OR is offering free seminar sessions to solicitors in a bid to demystify computer forensics, and to help them utilise it's power for legal investigations. The sixty-minute sessions are led by CY4OR's managing director, Joel Tobias, who has spent 15 years in the IT industry and who specialises in computer investigations. He says:

"There is a real problem because solicitors don't understand computer forensics - they think it's something for their IT department to deal with. However, what a lot don't know is that vital evidence can be tampered with by mistake - which could potentially cost a business millions."

The seminars, which are specifically tailored for solicitors, can be held in-house and will unveil what can actually be retrieved, and how solicitors should advise their clients if they believe evidence is on a computer, and much more.

Philip Williams from DLA LLP, who has attended a free seminar, said: "I found it to be of particular assistance and interest. CY4OR has a refreshing approach to this area of work. They are professional, but also combine a personal element"

CY4OR operates within the Association of Chief Police Officers Best Practices Guidelines for the Acquition of Digital Evidence, and can carry out a completely covert operation with as little disruption to the company as possible.
