MSPs need to protect their network infrastructure in the wake of the Amazon DDoS attack(15/10/2009)
This weekend, Amazon came under a DDoS attack, which resulted in a 16-hour non-availability of Bitbucket’s open source data storage service. The DDoS attack was initially blamed on the fact that the Elastic Block Store (EBS) is a shared service and that customers have to expect performance fluctuations, before admitting that the Amazon infrastructure had been taken down by a massive UDP flood.
