New Apple Mac OS X malware discovered

A new example of Apple Mac OS X malware has been discovered. In many ways the malware, which Sophos detected as OSX/Jahlav-A, is very similar to the RSPlug financially-motivated malware that we first saw this time last year. A new Portuguese spam messages attempts to dupe victims into downloading and installing a fake Symantec product. The spam messages were constructed using two images hosted on the popular imageshack.us site.
