Eric Schmidt, the executive chairman of Google, recently raised concerns over the misuse of face recognition technology. Eric Schmidt said he was “very concerned” over the rapid development of face recognition technology and that it could result in an infringement of privacy. A recent report in the Telegraph raised concerns about the fact that unmanned spy drones and facial recognition cameras “could soon be the norm” in public places such as taxis.
