According to the Sixth Annual UK Online Fraud Report, an independent survey undertaken by CyberSource Ltd, UK merchants say online fraud is the greatest threat they face. Merchants stated that they lost an average of 1.8% of online revenue to payment fraud in 2009. Half the UK population does not shop online because of security issues(11/02/2009)
According to a survey of 1,000 consumers undertaken by CyberSource Ltd, more than half the UK population still does not shop online. Reasons range from simple preference for high street shopping to lack of a computer or internet access, but 41% of people who don’t shop online say an issue is security.
