A family of weaponised doc (MS-Office) files have been discovered by AlienVault. These weaponised doc files - in the wild are targeting the Apple Mac platform, which the company says is highly unusual given the low incidence of Apple Mac vulnerabilities. Google Wallet PIN crack has potential security consequences for MasterCard and Visa cardholders(13/02/2012)

AlienVault highlights that Chinese are tapping malware to attack US DoD smart card security(16/01/2012)
Evidence of Chinese-originated attacks against the US government agencies including the US Department of Defense (DoD) has been found by AlienVault which use a new strain of the Sykipot malware to compromise DoD smart cards. One of the original versions of Sykipot was a trojan horse application that opened a backdoor into the infected PCs.
