Acumen tests cameras at extreme low temperatures and in hot environments(07/10/2008)
Acumen Corporation has tested the thermal tolerances of its cameras, both at extreme low temperatures and in hot environments. The object of the first test was to subject several cameras to extremely cold temperatures below -94F (-70C). Three cameras were tested Ai-IR59, Ai-DC75, and Ai-BU45S. Acumen Corporation has subjected several cameras to extremely cold temperatures below -94ºF (-70ºC). Three cameras were tested Ai-IR59, Ai-DC75, and Ai-BU45S. To make this test particularly clean the cameras were “frozen” first with the help of dry ice in disconnected state. Once the desired temperature was reached, the cameras were connected to the power.
